Review by Jennifer, 2009-11-18
This book is nicely put together and the pictures show the reader some great ideas. However, the things it shows you how to do are very basic. I thought this book would show me how to make the flowery-looking invitation on the front cover and provide a template. It simply told me to purchase the flowery part (already cut), glue the center pieces of paper in, and tie ribbon around the outside. The rest of the invitations shown are very basic. If you are a little bit crafty, you could probably figure out how to do it yourself. If you are looking to make your own invitations I would recommend going to a store that sells them such as Hallmark, getting ideas, and then going online and purchasing the materials to make them. I was also disappointed with some of the suggestions that were made for save the dates. My thinking is that if you are rich enough to mail a bunch of votive candle holders through the mail, you would just have your invites and save the dates made. This book does have some cute ideas for "extras" such as place cards, and favors.
